Sophie Turner might need to find some time away from playing Sansa Stark. The "Game of Thrones" Season 7 actress could land the lead role in one of the upcoming "X-Men" films that were recently confirmed. Will Jean Grey finally transform into her powerful alter ego in the highly anticipated "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" movie?

Fox has recently announced that there will three new "X-Men" movies in the near future, as per The Hollywood Reporter. Josh Boone's "New Mutants" is expected to hit theaters on April 13, 2018, while "Deadpool 2" starring Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin will premiere on June 1 the same year. "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" rounds up the year in November, which is expected to bring back Sophie Turner as Jean Grey. Does this mean the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 actress will be taking time off from working on the next season of her TV series to shoot Jean Grey's solo film? Or could this mean that Sansa Stark will meet her end in the HBO show?

Sophie Turner is already set for a major return as Sansa Stark in "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Although many are hopeful that Arya's sister will survive until the end of the series, the confirmation about "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" has fans worried that Turner will need to be written off the show. Hopefully, the real Jean Grey will be able to work out a schedule between her TV series and the Fox movie. In addition to that, people are keeping their fingers crossed for the future of Sansa in "Game of Thrones".

Fans can expect to see Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark in "Game of Thrones" Season 7, which will premiere on HBO on July 17. She will then reprise her role as Jean Grey in "X-Men: Dark Phoenix", which is scheduled for release on November 2, 2019, as per io9.
