The legendary singer, Sir Tom Jones, has opened up about his feeling when his wife for 59 years, Melinda, passed away last year. He expressed his heartbreak and how he dealt with the issue with the help of counselor and music.

In an interview with Sunday Mirror, Jones admitted that he was urged by his son Mark to undergo therapy. Following the death of her childhood sweetheart, he had to struggle to get out of bed. Seeing his father, Mark persuaded him to see a renowned therapist.

“Mark helped tremendously," Jones praised his son. He later opened up how the therapist made him overcome the grief after his beloved wife Melinda died on April 10 last year. Earlier before, doctors found that she had a terminal lung cancer. She died after a short battle with her cancer and Jones sat by her bedside all the time until she passed away. Linda was surrounded by her loved ones and family in her death bed at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in LA.

Jones and Linda have been married for 59 years, when they were married at the young age of 16 years in 1956, after she became pregnant according to Daily Telegraph . Throughout the years, Melinda could withstand Jones' infidelities with many celebrities. His love has driven Jones to regret his action and stopped his promiscuity.

His love of music has also helped him to overcome the grief. Jones has become the judge for "The Voice" since 2015. He revealed that his involvement in the singing contest TV Show has helped him. He is now coaching Welsh duo Into The Ark in the program.

Earlier in January, the 75-year-old singer has also revealed his effort to get over the death of his wife in the ITV's talk show "Lorraine." Watch how Jones explained about how they found out about her lung cancer below:
