‘Rick And Morty’ Season 3 Update: April Fool’s Release Is For Real But New Episodes Delayed; See Air Date Here
"Rick and Morty" Season 3 surprised fans on April Fool's day with its premiere episode. This left viewers a question whether or not the new release is real. But fans can stop asking now as latest reports confirmed that the latest installment of the hit animated show is legit but there's a catch. Episode 2 will be delayed and it will take another month or two before it airs.
"Rick and Morty" Season 3 premiere episode reportedly hyped the series fanatics when it unexpectedly aired on Adult Swim during the weekend. Because of this, viewers started to ponder if more episodes will follow every week. However, a report by Gizmodo revealed that the next installment will launch around mid of May to end of June.
This is according to Adult Swim's official press release where it confirmed that the rest of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 episodes will return "later this summer." That said, fans who have been waiting for the highly anticipated season should have more patience as it might take one or two months before the series airs again. Does that sound too long?
Meanwhile, a report by Cherwell pointed out that it's hard to trust that "The Rickshank Rickdemption" episode is actually the first among the many installments of "Rick and Morty" Season 3. The reason behind is the apparent reputation of Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland who have already disappointed fans before. The report continued to explain that the episode seemingly did too much on the development of Rick's disdain over Jerry.
The report is referring to Rick's manipulation that caused Beth to divorce Jerry on the first episode of "Rick and Morty" Season 3. Though it has been established that the series protagonist despises his daughter's husband, fans were still reportedly surprised to find out what Rick did. It's brilliant yet horrifying, right?
