'My Hero Academia' Season 2 Picks up 25 Episodes; Available in Blu-Ray & DVD With 8 Volumes
Kohei Horikoshi's "My Hero Academia" season 2 has premiered on April 1 and the episode was aired on CrunchyRoll and Hulu with English subtitles. The manga creator has been praised by his work and said that the anime adaptation series will be a commercial success overseas. Critics gave the series an overall positive review saying that its episodes delivered remarkable action with an amazing storyline.
Season 1 had a total of 13 episodes and fans were delighted when it was announced that "My Hero Academia" season 2 will pick up a total of 25 episodes. Weekly Shonen Jump has published the manga series since July 2014 with 12 volumes collected in total. It was then adapted into anime TV Series with its first season aired on April 3 - June 26, 2016.
According to Comic Book, since the release of the anime series of "My Hero Academia" in April 2016, the series has been widely popular. Fans were more thrilled upon learning that they will be treated with 25 episodes in season 2. Anime News Network reports that Blu-ray and DVD volumes are also available for the series with eight volumes in total.
"My Hero Academia" follows the adventures of a middle school student Izuku Midoriya, in a world where people were born with superpowers called Quirks. Izuku doesn't have superpowers like the others but aims to become a hero despite of being bullied by his classmates. However, he was the only one who saved his childhood bully named Katsuki from a villain and proved to others that he can be a hero.
All Might, the world's greatest hero in "My Hero Academia" gifted Izuku a special superpower upon learning the latter's heroic act. The superpower, known as One For All enables Izuku to channel physical strength and he was then enrolled to U.A. High School, an academy where heroes are training.
