Eliza Dushku 2017: 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' Star Speaks Up On Why Faith Wasn't Invited To Reunion Photo Shoot
There is much excitement over the recent reunion of the "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" cast although most noticed that Anthony Stewart Head was not in attendance. However, Giles was not the only memorable character who was sorely missed at the photo shoot. Most fans immediately asked, "Where's Faith?" Now Eliza Dushku has spoken up about the other slayer's absence at the reunion.
Faith definitely had a huge impact on the beloved TV series that put Joss Whedon on the map. However, Eliza Dushku was nowhere to be found in the "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" reunion photo shoot. So what exactly happened? Was Dushku's invite lost in the mail? The "Dollhouse" actress has just revealed that she never got an invite at all.
A fan had reached out to Eliza Dushku on Twitter about her absence at the "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" reunion photo shoot. The "Bring It On" actress immediately responded with a sweet message for her supporters then explained that she was not invited to the event. Dushku stated that she was "never a series regular cast member" and was therefore not supposed to be a part of the reunion at all.
Eliza Dushku may not have been a series regular, but fans believed that Faith played an important role in "Buffy The Vampire Slayer". Some even pointed out that Julie Benz and Julie Landau should have been included as well for playing vampires Darla and Drusilla, respectively (via The Boston Globe).
The "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" reunion photo shoot certainly comes at a perfect time. The series that made Eliza Dushku a star will be removed from the Netflix lineup starting April 1.
