Entertainment Weekly has recently confirmed that Joss Whedon has signed on to direct a DCEU film that is all about Batgirl. Naturally, everyone had their opinion on who should play Batman's female ally. Fans have been tweeting support for Holland Roden to be cast as Barbara Gordon in the "Batgirl" standalone movie (via Twitter). Some have even pointed out that the "Teen Wolf" Season 6 actress is fully capable of taking on the action sequences that the movie will require.
Holland Roden certainly seems like a perfect fit for Barbara Gordon. However, there has been no confirmation on whether the "Teen Wolf" Season 6 star is being considered for the role. Hopefully, Joss Whedon will take interest in bringing Roden in for the "Batgirl" standalone film. In the meantime, she is set to appear as Lydia in the last 10 episodes of the MTV series, which is expected to air this summer.
