'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' to Get English Simulcast; Trailer Shows Boruto Resents His Father [VIDEO]
Fans of the popular anime series "Naruto: Shippuden" were heartbroken when the series came to an end, despite the fact that Naruto Uzumaki has finally tied the knot with her long-time sweetheart Hinata Hyuga. However, the poignant moment is only short-lived since another Japanese manga series "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" will soon fill the small screens. The anime adaptation is a spin-off of "Naruto" and is set to air on TV Tokyo on April 5. This news certainly brought delight to all fans, who are still not over the popular anime series.
To top it all, Comic Book reports that Viz Media will release an English simulcast for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" next month. "The first episode of the new series will make its U.S. simulcast premiere on Hulu beginning April 5th, the same day as its premiere in Japan. New episodes will continue to premiere weekly on Wednesdays," Viz Media wrote in a statement. The series follows a story of a boy named Boruto, the son of Naruto and Hinata as he enters the ninja academy and struggles with being the Hokage's son.
The second trailer released for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" appears that the boy resents his father Naruto and said that it's not about being a Hokage's son but it's about his own story. In the trailer, he can also be heard saying Dattebayo, something that everyone can believe that he still have a hope. Dattebayo in English means Believe It but sometimes it is not always translated with the same meaning.
According to Polygon, Naruto will still be a part of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" but will not play a big role. Meanwhile, VIZ Media Senior Manager of Animation Marketing Charlene Ingram said that they are thrilled with acquiring the franchise. "The stage is set for intense adventures featuring a fresh cast of ninjas from the Hidden Leaf Village," she said. Moreover, Hulu will have access to the series when it premiered and CrunchyRoll also confirmed it will air the series in the spring.
