"NCIS" Season 14 has already been renewed for Season 15 amidst cancellation rumors following the departure of Michael Weatherly as Tony DiNozzo. While fans can let out a sigh of relief over the show's secured fate for next season, will the upcoming season be the series finale?

This article contains spoilers. Continue reading if you wish to learn more about the story.

The fate of "NCIS" Season 14 is already secured, as CBS renewed the drama for two seasons shortly after Michael Weatherly left the show in Season 13. However, there were uncertainties over the show's future after its fifteenth season, as the show has been experiencing drops in its ratings.

As TV Series Finale reports, "NCIS" Season 14 experienced quite a huge drop in its premiere in September with a 2.17 rating in the 18-49 demo. This is a 12.50 percent drop from last season's ratings.

On average, "NCIS" Season 14 has a 1.80 rating in the demo and 14.986 million viewers, a drop of 18.48 percent and 9.78 percent, respectively. A look at these figures shows that the drop in ratings is not as bad as other shows and the series still remains as one of the network's most watched dramas.

Part of the reason for the drop in "NCIS" Season 14 ratings may be the absence of Weatherly from the CBS drama. The show tried to make up for his absence through the addition of several new characters in the mix.

"NCIS" Season 14 spoilers reveal that Torres and Quinn, two of the show's newcomers, will be involved in a juicy rumor, reports Carter Matt. According to the outlet, McGee and Bishop will be investigating this rumor.

A military veteran will also be the main focus of the upcoming "NCIS" Season 14 episode entitled "The Wall." Bruce McGill will be guest starring in the said episode and the episode will serve as a tribute to the Honor Flight Network.
