Fans have been waiting for any updates on "The X-Files" Season 11, which is still expected to premiere next year. But is it possible that Fox will make a new announcement about the David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson series in the next month? After all, the first nine seasons of the classic show will be removed from the Netflix lineup in April. Could there be news about Fox Mulder and Dana Scully's next case?

The Mary Sue has recently reported on Netflix's incoming and outgoing lineup, revealing that the first nine episodes of "The X-Files" will be removed from the streaming giant's list on April 1. The David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson series is not the only classic that will no longer be available on the network, as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Seasons 1-7 and "Firefly" will be exiting as well. This is certainly bad news for Mulder and Scully fans, but could it also mean that Fox will have some news about "The X-Files" Season 11 soon?

Fox has been very hopeful about releasing another season of "The X-Files". The network has been optimistic that creator Chris Carter, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson would be on board for "The X-Files" Season 11. However, the "American Gods" actress has also claimed that the series "is finished" and should end with the tenth season, as per Reuters. Nevertheless, fans are hoping to see more of Mulder and Scully, especially after Season 10 concluded with a major cliffhanger.

In the last moments of "The X-Files" Season 10 finale, Scully realized that her son William was nowhere to be found while Mulder has become very sick. Just as she promised Mulder that she will create a cure for him, several large spaceships appeared overhead. The episode then concluded with a tight closeup of Scully's eye. Hopefully, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson would agree to return for "The X-Files" Season 11 so fans will learn what happened to Mulder and Scully.
