There have been a lot of speculations about the show's future since Thomas Gibson was fired from the series due to an alleged altercation with one of the show's writers.
Ratings have dropped since Gibson's departure, as some viewers threatened to stop watching "Criminal Minds" Season 12 without Hotch. The show is trying to catch up, however, through its recent arc on Matthew Gray Gubler's Spencer Reid and Shemar Moore will also return for the finale, as per Variety.
