'Dance Moms' Stars Went on Protest Following Abby Lee Miller's Return to the Show
Abby Lee Miller's fraud case has been finalized and the controversial dance instructor is making a comeback to Lifetime's reality TV series "Dance Moms." With her return, choreographers Laurie-Ann Gibson and Meagan Nugent are kicked out from the show and the dancers are reportedly not happy with this. In fact, Miller's old dancers decided not to be part of the competition for the ALDC (Abby Lee Dance Company) last weekend after her three-week absence from the show.
According to Dancemomofficialspoilers, a reliable "Dance Moms" insider, showrunners removed Gibson and Nugent from the show, who took charge of the girls during Miller's absence. The post on Instagram further says that the moms refused to film in the studio, but Elliana, Lilly, and Maesi appear to have stayed and gone into filming. Additionally, it says that there are only two episodes left in season 7 and the national competition takes place on March 26.
"Dance Moms" star Kira Girard, Kalani Hilliker's mother took on Twitter about how she feels about Miller's return and it sounds like she is disappointed. She complained how Miller acted like she wasn't gone for weeks. "Got to love [how] she shows up with a list of what we can and can't say after 3 weeks gone! This is what you want Lifetime, well peace out," she wrote. With the majority of the show's stars protesting against Miller's return, it could only mean that the show's fate is at risk.
The girls are apparently disappointed and sad with Gibson and Nugent leaving "Dance Moms." Kendall Vertes thanked Gibson and said that she will certainly miss working with her while Kalani said that she inspired her. Other moms also shared the same sadness upon learning the news that the two choreographers are already off the show.
Abby Lee Miller is known for her harsh approach on "Dance Moms" and many dancers including their mothers have loathed her for being notorious. She started the ALDC in Pittsburgh since she was 14.
