'Hunter X Hunter' & 'Monster Hunter XX' Collaboration; Manga Creator Yoshihiro Togashi Back to Being Healthy
"Hunter X Hunter" has been in hiatus since last year and fans keep wondering whether or not the Japanese manga series will have its next chapters soon. With a total of 360 chapters as of June 2016, the highly-anticipated chapter 361 release date remains unclear. This is because the manga's creator Yoshihiro Togashi was reportedly in a serious health condition. However, recent reports say that he is now doing well.
It can be recalled that fans took on Reddit that it's possible "Hunter X Hunter" chapter 361 will be released in February. However, these speculations only added fuel to some fans' disappointment of the idea that the manga series could be in danger of not returning. On the plus side, recent reports from Gematsu that the series has a collaboration with the RPG "Monster Hunter XX."
Weekly Shonen Jump revealed earlier this month that the "Hunter X Hunter" and "Monster Hunter XX" collaboration is composed of the series of items of the Gon Armor. This includes the Gon Head, Gon Suit, Gon Arms and Gon Legs. Capcom has also released the opening movie and the trailer for the game showcasing the Gon Armor with iconic hair design.
As CrunchyRoll points out, fans of the manga series can content themselves with the game for now while awaiting the official announcement of chapter 361. For those who have yet to see the "Monster Hunter XX" opening movie, check out the video posted below. As for the "Hunter X Hunter" collaboration trailer, see it from here.
With regard to "Hunter X Hunter" creator Togashi, previous reports say that he's been spotted in an anime or manga event. This leads fans to believe that the next chapters of the popular manga series will be released in the near future. It is also said that Weekly Shonen Jump has imposed a deadline for the creator to write the next chapters. Otherwise, it will have to pick up someone else.
