‘Life’ Actor Jake Gyllenhaal Avoids Taylor Swift Topic
Actor Jake Gyllenhaal has indicated his disinterest in talking about ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. The actor avoided the topics involving Swift while promoting his new sci-fi movie.
Jake Gyllenhaal is busy in the promotional activities for his new flick "Life." The Guardian tried to shift the conversation with the actor from his new film to his ex-girlfriend. The actor, as a result, said that he would be more interested and "would love to talk about the movie."
"I think when you're in a relationship, you are constantly scrutinized, your friends are scrutinized, but ..." Gyllenhaal told the media outlet on Sunday. "I would love to not talk about my personal life."
Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal were in a relationship between October 2010 and January 2011. The UK media journalist Tim Jonze did not give up on questioning the actor on his ex. He asked the 36-year-old "Donnie Darko" actor if he considered himself "intensely private." To this, Gyllenhaal responded saying that everyone has a private life while asking the reporter "aren't you?"
"I have a firm belief that I enter space with an open heart and a mind that's strong enough to protect it," Jake Gyllenhaal said referring to Taylor Swift questions as quoted by Yahoo Be. "I'm not necessarily guarded, but I consider intimacy to be very important and I don't think everybody needs to know about my family or my personal details. I'm old school in that way."
While Taylor Swift has been observed using her past relationship as a basis for her songs, her ex-partners have always tried avoiding conversations involving the singer. It is not only Jake Gyllenhaal who avoided talking about Swift but also her other past beaus opted for the same, including Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris, and Harry Styles.
