Netflix 'The Defenders' Set To Solve 'Daredevil' Season 2 Mystery, Marvel Series To Possibly Air In July
Fans are already looking forward to "The Defenders", which is set to premiere later this year. But what exactly will be the first major problem that Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Danny Rand encounter in the Marvel series? There is a huge possibility that the Netflix show will solve a mystery from "Daredevil" Season 2. Could Sigourney Weaver's Alexandra actually be connected to the huge hole Matt and Elektra discovered in the middle of New York City?
There have only been a few details about "The Defenders", but Entertainment Weekly has offered a description on how Jessica Jones and Luke Cage could end up on the same side as Matt Murdock and Danny Rand. It has been revealed that all four will be in Midland Circle offices at the same time and would get cornered in a corridor where they have to fight their way out. The outlet helpfully pointed out that Midland Circle was responsible for the hole found in "Daredevil" Season 2. According to io9, this could confirm that the company has ties with The Hand, which might have a big role in the Netflix series.
The Hand's possible appearance in "The Defenders" might also mean that Elektra Natchios will be brought back from the dead to become Black Sky. After all, "Daredevil" Season 2 concluded with Elektra's body being taken by The Hand and placed inside that strange container with all the mysterious goop.
It certainly sounds like "The Defenders" will finally solve the "Daredevil" Season 2 mystery and hopefully tie all four other Netflix shows together. Luckily, it looks like fans won't need to wait too long to see Danny Rand and Luke Cage fighting alongside Matt Murdock and Jessica Jones. MCU Exchange has just reported that the Marvel series has officially wrapped. There is a huge possibility that post production will take a few months so the show might premiere in July or August.
