Aidan Turner 2017: 'Poldark' Season 3 Star Joins Domhnall Gleeson In Support Of World Down Syndrome Day [VIDEO]
There certainly is more to Aidan Turner than a handsome face and a sculpted body. The "Poldark" Season 3 star has recently been revealed to have a soft spot for charity work. Turner has worked on a short film produced by Charlie Murphy, which also features "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actor Domhnall Gleeson. The featurette was created in preparation for the World Down Syndrome Day this March.
Aidan Turner News has recently reported about the actor's efforts to help Charlie Murphy in her cause. The "Love/Hate" actress has decided to make the short film titled "The Mission 21", which is dedicated to her nephew, who has been diagnosed with Down syndrome. In addition to the "Poldark" Season 3 star, Murphy has enlisted fellow Irish celebrities Domhnall Gleeson, Brendan O'Connor, Imelda May and Padraig Harrington. Although the movie was released on Independent.ie, it is set for a global premiere on World Down Syndrome Day on March 21.
There is little doubt that Aidan Turner is one of the most respected Irish actors. CeleBeat has previously reported on the "Poldark" Season 3 star getting nominated by the Irish Film & Television Academy for Actor in a Leading Role in Drama at the 2017 IFTA Awards. Turner will be up against "Peaky Blinders" Season 4 star Cillian Murphy, who also turned in an amazing turn as Thomas Shelby.
Fans will need to wait a little longer to see Aidan Turner reprise his role as Ross in "Poldark" Season 3, which is believed to be released a little earlier this year. Radio Times has written on the possibility that the series will air in spring. There are also speculations that the show could premiere a little later in summer to avoid being broadcast at the same time as ITV's "Victoria" Season 2. Hopefully, BBC will announce an air date before by late March or early April.
