Eminem New Album 2017 Update: ‘Rap God’ Rapper Collaborating With Dr. Dre; Record To Be Released In August?
It has been four years since Eminem released his latest album titled "The Marshall Mathers LP 2." While the 44-year-old rapper has recently performed a guest verse for Big Sean's single, there are speculations that the "Rap God" rapper will be releasing a new album this 2017. Will he drop his new record in August?
Eminem's new album is expected to be released this 2017. In a recent interview with Stat Quo, he told HipHopDX that he remains in touch with those from Shady Records and can confirm reports that Eminem is working on a new record.
During the same interview, Stat Quo explained the reason behind his departure from the company and how he and Eminem decided to part ways. Stat Quo also mentioned about Dr. Dre and this led to speculations that Eminem may once again do a collaboration with Dre.
As Radio.com reports, Dr. Dre was the one who brought Eminem into the spotlight so it would definitely be a must to see them work on a single again. The last time fans heard the two perform together was for Dre's 2015 album "Compton" wherein Eminem rapped for the track entitled "Medicine Man."
While Eminem has yet to officially confirm his new album, several reports are claiming on the possible release of his record this August because of his upcoming project. According to Billboard, the "Lose Yourself" rapper will be headlining the Glasgow Summer Sessions.
Eminem previously headlined the same event in 2013 at Bellahouston Park. Danny Brown, Russ and Run the Jewels will be joining him at the said event.
This year also seems to be the best year for the "Slim Shady" rapper to release his new album since he has more activities lined up for him this 2017 than in previous years. Aside from his Glasgow stint, Eminem will also be headlining the Reading and Leeds festival this summer.
