Dylan O'Brien Officially Back On 'Maze Runner 3' Set, Behind The Scenes Picture Confirms Newt Still OK [SPOILERS]
The moment that Dylan O'Brien fans have been waiting for is finally here. The "Teen Wolf" Season 6 star is back on the set of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure", which has started principal photography in South Africa. In addition to that, it looks like Thomas' fellow Glader Newt, played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster, will survive in "Maze Runner 3".
CeleBeat has previously reported on Dylan O'Brien arriving in Cape Town bringing his favorite pillow that he always carries with him when he travels. The "Teen Wolf" Season 6 star flew in on the same flight as Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who portrays Newt in the "Maze Runner" films. Since then, the cast of "Maze Runner 3" have been spotted hanging out together. Now there is evidence that O'Brien is back on the set after his accident last March.
Dexter Darden has posted another interesting photo on his Instagram account. The image shows the special chairs for the cast on the set of "Maze Runner 3". Fans were quick to notice that Frypan (played by Darden) gets to sit alongside Dylan O'Brien's Thomas as well as Thomas Brodie-Sangster's Newt. But does this mean that Newt will live to see the end of "The Death Cure"?
Book readers already know that Newt plays a huge part in James Dashner's third "Maze Runner" novel, but not exactly in a good way. In "The Death Cure", Newt ends up being taken by the Cranks and is eventually killed by Thomas. According to Venture Capital Post, fans are hoping that Thomas Brodie-Sangster's character will not suffer the same fate at Dylan O'Brien's hand. Hopefully, "Maze Runner 3" will find a way to work around the death of Newt when the sequel premieres on January 12, 2018.
