'Rick And Morty' Season 3 Production Start A Hoax, Dan Harmon Says Episodes Still In Progress [VIDEO]
People recently went crazy over new "Rick and Morty" Season 3 videos that were released to promote the animated show's return. However, fans were disappointed as they got Rickrolled and only found some old footage from the previous seasons. So when exactly is the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 air date? The delay might have little to do with slow production and could be a decision made by Adult Swim.
The delay of the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 air date has certainly been a sore topic for fans who have been waiting for the show's return since 2015. To make matters worse, Adult Swim might be trying to distract people with videos that don't offer any updates. Now writer Mike McMahan is confirming that recording began last year and the episodes might be ready soon.
Mike McMahan recently took to Twitter to react to news that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 has just started production. The writer was quick to point out that the tweet confirming the recording was posted last year. In addition to that, McMahan stated that it "would be BAD news" if the Adult Swim series only began production this February.
So does this mean that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is already complete and just waiting for Adult Swim's announcement? Not necessarily. Co-creator Dan Harmon has previously stated during his Harmontown podcast that the new episodes are still being illustrated (via Youtube). Unfortunately, this might take more time and the network is simply keeping fans on their toes with the trolling videos.
Adult Swim recently released "new footage" from "Rick and Morty" Season 3 which only resulted in thousands getting Rickrolled. The network's Australian outlet then responded with the show's new opening sequence that turned out to be a collection of old footage. Hopefully, an air date will be announced by March.
