The cast of the famous TV show "Nashville" was nominated recently for Best Supporting Actress at the Critics' Choice Awards held on Sunday under the name of Hayden Panettiere. The 26 year old actress has been overwhelmed and grateful for the encouraging comments she got since she started her treatment for Postpartum depression.

Postpartum depression, also referred to as postnatal depression, is a kind of depression suffered by a mother right after giving birth usually accompanied by hormonal imbalance, motherhood routine adjustment and fatigue. The usual symptoms would be mood swings, difficulty bonding with the baby and anxiety.

According to Independent, Panettiere filed a leave of absence from the "Nashville" as she voluntarily sought for a postpartum depression therapy in October. She has always been open about this concern, but she wasn't expecting for a huge amount of support like this that would come her way.

She was quoted saying that it has been an intense year for her and a lot of things happened. The "Nashville" star was openly asked about the post-partum issue and she answered it without hesitation.

During Panettiere's interview with Entertainment Tonight she stated, "I've gotten an incredible amount of support and I was actually really surprised cause I feel like I grew up in this industry that, in my mind, was very judgmental". She and her husband Wladimir Klitschko welcomed their daughter Kaya Evdokia Klitschko in 2014.

The actress admitted that she was reluctant to look at social media as she thought people were waiting for her to fall, to make mistakes and for other personal attacks that would surely hit her current emotional state. Apparently she can't help but checking the people's reactions, she eventually shared "Then, when I looked, people were like, 'Oh my gosh, good for you,' and I am so proud to be a spokesperson and a woman that people can look to and to know that they're not alone and they're not weak if they go and they seek help."

Coincidentally, Hayden Panettiere's character in "Nashville", Juliette Barnes, also battled with postpartum depression. She said coming back and filming again after taking the treatment brought her an emotional "rocky start" but later on gone well and relate to her character even more.
