Adele Joins James Corden For ‘Carpool Karaoke’, Sing Along to 'Hello', 'Rolling in the Deep' and More
Adele belted out "Rolling in the Deep" and "Hello" with James Corden on the hit show "Carpool Karaoke." "Hello, it's me," Corden says into a mobile phone, which is meant in reference to the songstress' latest hit song "Hello," while he was waiting to pick her up.
He went on to sing the rest of the line. Adele is cued in to sing the lines, while she rides in a carpool with Corden.
The talk show host has previously insisted that the whole episode is perfectly safe, Huffington Post reported. Several reporters for the winter meetings of the TV Critics Association in L.A. made up the majority of the show's spectators. The reporters spent time with Corden afterwards regarding the set of the upcoming show.
Adele's parts ran 13 minutes approximately, while the camera was also showing Corden performing maneuvers that most people would get pulled over for. The episode was taped in December 2015 in London when the British host went home to celebrate the holidays.
The show featured the singer and the host fooling around, singing their hearts out of several of Adele's hit songs along with several of her childhood favorites by the Spice Girls. Aside from Adele's powerful singing voice, the episode was also a revelation that Adele can actually rap.
Corden described the set by saying that while they are both in in the car, a car was in front of them and behind them are a van and another car. He added that they were only traversing the road for not more than 11 or 12 miles an hour.
"We're just in a convoy. So it would always look cool, but actually it's quite safe," Corden explained to Philly assuring that the whole thing is secured.
The "Carpool Karaoke" episode will be shown Jan. 13 via "The Late Late Show with James Corden."
