Sony has come up the latest action cam trying to be at par with GoPro but based on the report of Gizmodo news, Sony has not done that yet.

Reviewing what makes Sony look second-best will give consumers an idea what they are up against if they go for the latest action cam.

The design of the Sony 4K Action Cam is still the basic shape it always has: aerodynamic and sleek.  That makes it uncanny because of the larger and tall body compared to the Hero4 Black's brick-like appearance.

Sony's action cam has the microphones and Tessar lens in front.  While the LCD screen in black and white with buttons to do up or down.  Top has the record button with the switch for hold.  At the back, an access door for the microSD slot, battery, HDMI slot and the port for the micro USB are found.  Not to forget is the Sony's logo and camera is supposedly splash-proof.

With regards to quality of the Sony action cam, it can shoot a number of great footage and if not compared to another action cam can very well be a guarantee of a high quality gadget.  If viewed with the Hero4 Black beside it, consumers will feel disappointed.

GoPro's colors are even more accurate than the vivid mode of Sony which leans to over-saturation of colors.  They may be vibrant but looks like you're watching a cartoon movie.

The saving features of Sony 4K Action Cam is the shooting mode especially in footages at slow motion, shooting in wide ranges for versatility and faring better in situations when the light is low.  GoPro makes the scene under-exposed which gives cleaner images.  Another great feature for the Sony action cam is the clear audio quality
