Twitter for Apple Watch Now Officially Out
Twitter has just officially released today Version 6.24.4, its latest update for its iOS application, on the App Store on iTunes that says it includes the Twitter for Apple Watch.
As claimed, the Twitter for Apple Watch will allow you to send tweets, to retweet, to reply to tweets, as well as to favorite tweets quickly and easily. In addition, it lets you to quickly view recent tweets and top trends on your Apple Watch. It will also allow user to share their location, share the song they're currently listening to, as well as their thoughts with "a flick on the wrist."
Of course, many won't be able to test the Twitter app just yet even if they download it now. The Apple Watch, unveiled the "Spring Forward" Apple event on March 9 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, won't be available for pre-order until April 10. And the Apple Watch itself won't begin to be shipped out until April 24.
Twitter is just one of a number of third party app developers that have been granted early access to the software development kit (SDK) for the Apple Watch. As with Twitter, the apps are likely being released publicly now to allow Apple Watch reviewers to access them. Among these apps are Air Canada, Air Play, Babbel, Dark Sky, ECB Cricket, Evernote, Expedia, Kitchen Stories, Line, MLB.com ATBat, Procreate Pocket, Quantas Airways, Redfin, Runtastic Six Pack, Sky Guide, SPG: Starwood Hotels and Resorts, The New York Times, Things, Target, TransitApp, The Wall Street Journal, WeeChat, and Yahoo Tourney Pick'Em. More apps are continuing to roll out now which can be downloaded and updated on your Apple mobile device but which you won't be able to really try out just yet until your device is paired with the still-to-come Apple Watch.
