"Evolve" Review: Monster Shooting at its Finest
"Evolve" is a game for fans looking for asymmetrical shooting using different monsters to pit with each other. This game stands out as it allows for a group of players as the soldiers to align the four monsters and have a single goal to win.
The four monsters who are called classes of hunters are Support, Assault Medic and Trapper who have different characteristics to control. The object of each hunter is to feed by fighting other monsters to evolve in order to have an increased power and eventually cause more damage and harm to the other monsters.
Each monster acts according to the person who plays and benefits from its accomplishments. Of course, the Medic is the doctor and heals the other team members.
There are two modes for the game: Quick Play and the Evacuation. In the former, player is to do a mission among Nest, Hunt, Defend and Rescue. The goal of each mission is to do the task needed to kill the monster even before it turns into a more powerful one. If the goal is accomplished, the next mission will enable them to be given bonuses to help them kill more aliens.
Players will definitely enjoy "Evolve" as it may seem like a simple game to play but it is not. It is a game that enables the players to play and think as a team to beat the alien monsters. The key is communicating constantly via chat and to put balance into the team. It is also best to play with friends so you will have a better laid-out game plan.
Developer Turtle Rock is focusing on making some more tweaks and upgrades to the game so the players can really enjoy playing together.
