Platform games still stir interest in the hearts of modern players.  One example is "Mighty No. 9" which is considered a classic in this era wherein 4D is now dominant in today's video gaming world.

"Mighty No. 9" is designed by Japanese Keiji Inafune who is also the designer for Mega Man video series.  He has incorporated his expertise in putting innovation in this crowd favorite game.

The star of the game is Beck who is one of the androids raised for combat and is the ninth in the Mighty Numbers army.  Their goal is to bring peace, stability and security to their mighty world.  The twist lies in the other members of the Mighty Numbers as they were infected with a deadly virus which made them bad androids and fight the good androids.

Beck is assisted by Call, his female equal to go through different stages in the game, fight the enemies and track down the origin of the viral outbreak.

As the game progresses, Beck can absorb the powers of the enemies he defeated and use them to protect himself.  He can also go to areas more swiftly and make detours over tough and hard obstacles in the higher stages.  If Beck defeats a heavy-armored enemy, he can transform himself into a bigger vehicle like a tank which makes him cross without any damage to himself.

Another power Beck can have is he can acquire the forms and the skills of his enemies as well.  It only shows that "Mighty No. 9" has a lot of things to offer the players in order to win.  They can even retrace the steps they took with the levels they were not successful at first once new and exciting powers are gained in order to reach more hidden areas.

"Mighty No. 9" may be a 2D classic, Xbox One still boasts of this game for many classic players out there.
