Earlier, the Chrome 42 Beta had it and now standard Chrome is to be upgraded soon with the unique push feature. Chrome 42 Beta introduced recently has had several new features including the new push notification feature.

Chrome's notification system was introduced approximately 4 years ago. But the Chrome now, will allow websites whose browser has been closed to send notifications in case of an update. It would also give the option to close the message using a 'Site Setting' option at the bottom to quickly do away with the notification for that website.

Chrome Beta has also the added option of pinning the user's websites to the home screen with a single tap. Chrome will allow their 'favorite' button in Beta for quality websites only. Websites not passing their quality check will not get the shortcut button. The browser also has this new setting that allows user to halt plug-in content and save the computer's battery. The browser is downloadable and can be used on Android, Windows, Linux, Mac and Chrome OS.

The new set of features is set to be released soon in Google chrome. This is anticipated because usually releases from Beta become available right after in Chrome's standard version. The transition doesn't take too long. At most a few weeks to months will be the maximum wait. Why it is certain that Chrome will have push notification? Because the feature has been a hit in the other versions.

There will also be a bit of complication, though, before the feature is finally available. The push notification will first have to be implanted on sites before becoming available for use by Chrome users.
