Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony Combine Forces to Put a Stop on DDoS Assaults
Phil Spencer, the Xbox maker has publicly been speaking with his fellow competitors to talk about solutions to avoid the downtime on the PSN and Xbox Live last Christmas.
It is amazing to see these famous manufacturers of game consoles to be working together to win a battle to eliminate the DDoS attacks on the two loved consoles.
Spencer was even quoted as telling Game Informer that he doesn't like it when the PSN bogs down. He also said that attacks like these put them in a bad light and gamers might hate them for it. This is one opportunity for the three manufacturers to collaborate and find out how to keep these attacks from happening again.
He even added that with the conversation going on, he is happy to tell the consumers that the Christmas attacks can be avoided and this can be a learning experience for them. He has reiterated that the commitment to the customers of Xbox One is still to deliver a reliable and robust service.
It was noted that Xbox Live has recovered quite well from the malicious attacks than the competitor Sony. Although Nintendo was not bothered by the attacks, still it is not a reason not to be alarmed. What happened was DDoS was not hacked as there was no report on data being accessed or stolen but involved a server overloaded with numerous requests.
At this time, there is no report on what Spencer, Nintendo and Sony are discussing. One thing is for sure, they are looking for solutions and more updates to be done to the software on their consoles so the Christmas attacks won't be repeated. That is definitely good news indeed.
