Salma Hayek Loses Role Due to Voluptuous Body; Encourages Women to Be More Demanding in the Workplace
Salma Hayek's voluptuous curves have been the envy of a lot of women, but the actress said she is losing roles because of her frame.
According to a report by Fox News, the actress said, "If you think about it, I'm limited by the way I talk and by the way I look," the 48-year-old Mexican actress tells Net-a-Porter's The Edit. "Also, for those who have never seen me in person, I'm quite short. I have an overly ...wavy body. I'm not like the girl next door who is easy to cast. I don't fit into any of the stereotypes of a woman that should continue to work."
The actress who is pushing to 50, had said that her age is also one factor. All this to say, the actress believes she looks better at 48 than she did when she was younger. "I never exercised my whole life, but now I do yoga," Hayek admits. "I was always borderline chubby, because I like my food and, frankly, I like my wine. ...I'm in good shape right now."
The Grown Ups star credits "karma" for landing her impressive acting career, and encourages women to step up in their jobs. She said that women should be more demanding in the workplace. Women should be more assertive in any department, stand on their right grounds in homes and teach children to give their working moms a break and be more appreciative.
