Samsung's next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S6, is expected to be launched on March 1 at a special 'Unpacked' event at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona, along with at least two other phones including a Galaxy S Edge or Galaxy S6 Edge, smart wearable devices and a few accessories, says GottaBe Mobile.

The upcoming Galaxy S6 The Samsung Galaxy S6 will likely feature a Super AMOLED screen which comes protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. As with the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Alpha, it will likely have a metal chassis with removable rear covers. Rumor has it that the Galaxy S6 will also have a heart-rate sensor at the rear and a new touch-style scanner at the front. It will also feature a UV scanner. According to reports from some tipsters, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be available in choices of Charcoal Black, Copper Gold, Electric Blue and Shimmery White.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 was originally expected to carry the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, but overheating issues with the processor has allegedly led Samsung to shun Qualcomm in favor of its own Exynos 7420 chip in 90 percent of Samsung Galaxy S6 handsets at launch according to the PC Adviser. Once Qualcomm has ironed out problems with the Snapdragon 810, the company will reportedly gradually replace the Exynos in the newer batches of the Samsung Galaxy S6 with the Qualcomm-made processors. On the storage front, the phone is rumored to come in 32-, 64- and 128 GB models. Samsung is also likely to equip the Galaxy S6 with 3GB of RAM, plus a microSD slot that accepts up to 128GB said the tech site.

In terms of software, the Galaxy S6 will ship out with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, but Samsung will outfit the phone with its own completely redesigned TouchWiz UI interface. It will also come preloaded with other Samsung proprietary software like S Health, S Note or S Pen according to Softpedia. However, some of the known Samsung apps, which will still be available for download for those who want them, will be replaced with a host of Microsoft's productivity apps including Microsoft Office (free Office 365 subscription), OneDrive, OneNote and Skype.

With respect to pricing, Tech Radar expects that Galaxy S6 32 GB will start at $855, Galaxy S6 64 GB at $970 and Galaxy S6 128 GB at $1,085.
