Jorge Garcia Joins Adam Sandler's ‘The Ridiculous Six’ Cast

Jorge Garcia who is best remembered for his role as Hugo Reyes in the sci-fi supernatural TV drama series Lost is confirmed to have joined the cast of Netflix's full-length feature comedic western film The Ridiculous 6 according to Happy Madison, Adam Sandler's production company.

Aside from producing the project, Sandler will star in the Western spoof along with Rob SchneiderLuke WilsonNick NolteTerry Crews and Taylor Lautner. He also wrote the script with his longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy. His The Wedding Singer director Frank Coraci will be helming The Ridiculous 6 movie.

Principal photography on The Ridiculous Six is scheduled to start this month in Santa Fe and surrounding areas in New Mexico. Co-producing with Sandler is Allen Covert, and Happy Madison's Barry Bernardi and Heather Parry are executive producing. The production, which goes through May 1, will reportedly employ at least 200 New Mexico crew members and 250 New Mexico actors and local background talent.

Santa Fe Mayor Javier M. Gonzales, on his thoughts on The Ridiculous Six, said: "Santa Fe could not be more excited about Adam's upcoming film project. We are open for film business and with a skilled workforce we have what it takes to make this film a success." The New Mexico Film Office's director, Nick Maniatis added: "We are pleased to have the Happy Madison team back in New Mexico and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship."

Expected to also be in the cast are the Happy Madison regulars like Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Dan Aykroyd, Will Forte, Jon Lovitz and Vanilla Ice. Also rumored to be on board are Luke Wilson, Steve Zahn, Danny Trejo, Chris Parnell and Lavell Crawford.

According to The Wrap, insiders have described the plot thus: Sandler will play an orphan raised by a Native American tribe, and Lautner, Schneider, Wilson and Terry Crews will play his half-brothers. Nolte is Sandler's long-lost father, Forte and Trejo are leaders of rival gangs, Shelton will play Wyatt Earp and Vanilla Ice will play Mark Twain.
