'Focus': Latest News, Release, Cast and Speculations; Watch Trailer (Video)
The American romantic comedy drama film, Focus, is scheduled to be released in February this year. The film has been co-directed and scripted by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra. The filming for the Warner Bros production started in September 2013 and ended in December 2013. The movie has been shot at different locations in New Orleans, New York, Argentina, and Buenos Aires.
The movie is a story of a confidence artist, Nicky, who decides to train a young and attractive woman, Jess, about the con man trade. Nicky becomes romantically inclined towards Jess while training her and abruptly ends the relationship when Jess becomes too close to him. Three years later, both of them meet face to face, but at the opposite side of a same scam, which is about a billionaire owner of a race car. The story then goes about how Jess and Nick put their best foot forward to ruin each other's con art plans.
The movie stars Will Smith as none other than Nicky Spurgeon, Margot Robbie as the inimitable Jess Barrett, Gerald McRaney portrays the character of Owens and Griff Furst as of course, Gareth. Reportedly, several other stars including Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Ben Affleck, Brad Pitt, and Kristen Stewart were approached for the leading role in the film. However, due to schedule conflicts and other reasons, they dropped out before the current cast was finalized.
The movie is scheduled to hit the cinemas on February 27, 2015 along with three other films-Alejandro Monteverde's Little Boy, David Gelb's The Lazarus Effect, David Cronenberg's Maps to the Stars, and Joe Lynch's Everly. Seems like the movie will have a promising start.
