House of Cards fans had a chance to briefly view the much-anticipated third season last night, when they were mistakenly posted on Netflix, due to a 'technical glitch'. The third season is all set to premiere on the 27th of February, but somehow ten episodes of the upcoming season found their way online, much to the joy of the die-hard fans of the show.
News of the new episodes of the third season of House of Cards being available online spread like wild-fire and the alert bosses at Netflix rescued the situation within twenty minutes by taking the episodes down. Netflix later issued a statement, which said to the fans that their flagship show starring the very shrewd Kevin Spacey in the lead role as Frank Underwood would be available from 27th February onwards.
Even though only ten episodes were leaked online for briefly twenty minutes, the third series of the very popular show is expected to have 13 episodes in all.
Later the official Twitter account of the show House of Cards tweeted that, "This is Washington. There's always a leak. All 13 episodes will launch February 27."
This tweet reaffirms the news that the new season will have in all, 13 episodes. In the previous two seasons of the show, Frank Underwood travels an adventurous journey as a Chief Whip of the Government to the Vice-President and finally also manages to knock out the incumbent President and lay claim to his chair. The whole journey is dotted with lies, deceit, strategy, well-laid plans and a few murders.
Netflix also released the trailer of the third season, in which Frank Underwood says that they are not murderers but rather 'survivors'.
