ABC Family's Melissa & Joeythe cable TV sit-com series starring Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence which airs Wednesdays at the 8:00 pm time slot, has been canceled according to The Wrap. Created by Dave Kendall and Bob Young, the show follows local politician Mel Burke (Hart) and former executive Joe Longo (Lawrence) whom Mel hires as her live-in male nanny, or 'manny,' to her niece Lennox (Taylor Spreitler) and nephew Ryder (Nick Robinson) after a Ponzi scheme leaves Joe bankrupt and broke. The show is the network's first comedy series to hit the 100-episode milestone. It won this year's prestigious People's Choice Award.

Melissa & Joey's pilot episode aired on August 17, 2010. Now on its fourth season, Joe along the way has already transitioned from being Mel's manny to a personal fitness trainer and from being her employee to being her husband. Now that they're married, the series continue to follow Mel and Joe as they struggle to find time for their honeymoon, while balancing their careers and raising Joe's recently discovered teenage daughter Dani (Jada Facer). ABC Family Programming and Development executive vice president, Karey Burke, in a statement told TheWrap: "Now that the kids are grown and Mel and Joe have married and are looking toward starting a family, it seemed like a natural time to bring the series to a close."

Melissa & Joey season 4 episode 7 airing on February 11 is titled "Thanks But No Thanks." According to the studio's synopsis, the upcoming episode will open with Mel and Joe writing their thank you cards to everyone who sent them a wedding gift. Mel goes overboard thanking her Aunt Bunny and Uncle Bert (guest stars Valerie Harper and Peter Bonerz) for a huge cappuccino machine that she and Joe actually hate. She has Joe return the machine to the store, but then gets notice that Bunny and Bert are on their way to visit the newlyweds. Meanwhile, Lennox's boyfriend Marco (guest star Kevin Fonteyne) gets an offer he can't refuse. Melissa & Joey will be concluding its storyline at the end of the fourth season.
