Gamers rejoice! Super Stardust Ultra release date is just around the corner as the fourth installment of Housemarque's series is set to be released on February 11 for the PS4 platform.  In addition to that, those who are subscribed to Playstation Plus will be receiving a 20 percent discount during the game's first week.

For those living under a rock or are not aware of the game's specifics Super Stardust Ultra will be running at 1080p/60fps with 3D visuals and will be sporting five new planets for players to explore and nine single-player modes to play in. What's also interesting is that these features are entirely new. One of which is the mode named Blockade where your ship continually drops bombs while you navigate through a meteor storm but you have to avoid or boost through the course (lest you want to kill yourself) or use these bombs as a way to take down your enemy. Other game modes that players can play in are Bomber, Survival, Arcade, Impact, Planet Mode, Endless and Time Attacks.

Super Stardust Ultra will also feature an Interactive Streaming mode where you can do a live stream of your gameplay and that of your spectators can influence your play through voting whether to send you more enemies or send you a care package to aid you to victory. The game will also be able to support up to a four player split screen multiplayer for competitive and/or co-op sessions.

Playstation Lifestyle quotes on what the producers had to say about Blockade and Interactive Modes. "As if blasting through hazardous meteor storms or fighting off enemy spacecraft wasn't difficult enough, you now have to avoid an endless trail of deadly mines that are continually dropped from the back of your Star fighter [in Blockade]. The twist however is that everything else on the planet is also destroyed if it makes contact with the mines, so they can be used to your advantage and timing your bombs or boost is critical to staying alive.

If you think you have the skills, then check out Interactive Streaming which not only allows you to broadcast your gameplay but also opens up your world, allowing your viewers to decide what happens next. The vote can range from a full onslaught of chaos, to a much needed helpful care package....you have been warned."
