Cissy Houston Spends Bedside Vigil For Granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown
Cissy Houston, the mother of the legendary superstar Whitney Houston and grandmother to her only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown, visited her comatose granddaughter at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
The bedside vigil for Whitney Houston's daughter has entered its second week, as grim-faced relatives - including Bobby Brown and Cissy Houston - gathered again at the Atlanta hospital.
Bobby Brown spent roughly 90 minutes inside Emory University Hospital, joined by pregnant wife Alicia.
Cissy Houston returned to the hospital Saturday about an hour after Brown took off. Brown, along with other members of the clan, showed up again in the early evening.
Bobbi Kristina, 21, was found facedown and not breathing in a bathtub in her Roswell, Ga., home on Jan. 31 - a scene that echoed the death of her famous mother nearly three years ago.
Cops initially said it was unclear what caused Bobbi Kristina to lose consciousness. But the story took a dramatic turn Friday amid reports that police had opened a criminal investigation into the incident.
"Foul play is being investigated," a family source told People magazine. "Including drug use and possibly cover up to remove evidence from the crime scene."
Cissy's book, "Remembering Whitney", came out in February 2013, Bobbi Kristina boycotted it because it included details of her mother's drug abuse, rumors of a gay relationship and problems with ex-husband Bobby.
Bobbi Kristina said it was "disrespectful."
Cissy responded with an open letter, writing, "I want you to have a good life that you can be proud of."
