Assassin's Creed Rogue Release Date March 2015 for PCs
Game publisher and developer Ubisoft on Thursday announced that the PC version of Assassin's Creed Rogue will be released on March 10. Like the game console versions which were launched back in November, the PC edition will also have eye-tracking functionality. According to Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed Rogue is the "first game of this scale" to offer the SteelSeries Sentry eye-tracking technology which it developed jointly with Tobii Tech. "We recognized the power of eye tracking early and were quick to work with Tobii to create a completely new way to experience a game. We are really proud of the result with Assassin's Creed Rogue," said Ubisoft producer Corneliu Vasiliu.
The SteelSeries Sentry, which retails for $200, is described as a small sensor that sits on the lower edge of the monitor, and scans the player's eyes 50 times per second to track exactly where they're looking. In the Assassin's Creed Rogue game, the camera will allow the player to change the playable character Shay Patrick Cormac's view simply by gazing in any given direction. The screen will continue to pan and explore the environment until the player focuses on something else. Grabbing hold of the mouse instantly reverts the controls back. As a promotional offer, Tobii and Ubisoft are offering a free copy of Assassin's Creed Rogue upon release to the first 5,000 to purchase the SteelSeries Sentry.
Ubisoft also announced that a deluxe edition of Assassin's Creed Rogue for PC will be available through the company's own store, Uplay. This premium bundle will include the full game in addition to bonus in-game content such as a new mission, new weapons, and new outfits. Also, anyone who pre-orders the digital edition of the game through Uplay will get to choose from one of six free Assassin's Creed games - Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry, Assassin's Creed Liberation, Assassin's Creed Revelations, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Deluxe, Assassin's Creed II Deluxe, and the original Assassin's Creed. Finally, those who make the pre-order will get two expansion packs-"The Siege of Fort de Sable" and "The Explorer," for free.
