‘Far Cry 4’ Gets Update 5 Today to Bring Co-op Players on Custom Maps, Among Other Bug Fixes
Ubisoft's sequel to the #1 rated first-person shooter game of 2012, Far Cry 4, will be getting its update 5 today according to a report by Softpedia.Title Update 5, said the site, has been confirmed to bring some multiplayer-related improvements, as well as some bug fixes to matchmaking and load and save files.
Far Cry 4 was released on November 18, 2014, for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows platforms in four different editions. There is a Limited Edition, which includes the "Hurk's Redemption" downloadable content pack, which was offered to those who pre-ordered the game from the publisher's site. There is also a standard Kyrat Edition, which includes a statue of Pagan Min, a map of Kyrat, a propaganda poster, a journal and a collector's box, as well the "Hurk's Redemption" downloadable content pack, and an Ultimate Kyrat Edition, which includes everything from the standard Kyrat Edition, plus a steelbook and Season pass.
As gathered by Softpedia from the game publisher, the Title Update 5 is already available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms but it will also be ready for the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game within the day. The Title 5 Update can be downloaded from the publisher's site.
The changes included in the update are reportedly similar on all platforms. Most notably Title Update 5 brings co-op on custom maps for Far Cry 4. Integrated Outpost Masker in Co-Op issues, as well as fixes to various client connectivity issues and Host /Client replication issues have also been addressed. Also introduced is an In-Game Editor Co-Op. The patch should also fix various Gameplay functionality issues with asset placements and the Map Browser.
