‘Boss Baby’ Stars Alec Baldwin as a Fast-Talking, Briefcase-Carrying Baby with Kevin Spacey as the Movie Villain
20th Century Fox and Dreamworks Animation's upcoming 3D computer-animated comedy film Boss Baby stars Alec Baldwin in the title role, a fast-talking, briefcase-carrying baby, and Kevin Spacey as the villainous CEO of Puppy Co with a dastardly plot. Directed by Tom McGrath (best known for his work on Madagascar and Megamind) from a screenplay written by Michael McCullers (of the Austin Powers movies), the film will follow the Boss Baby and his 7-year-old brother Tim as they join forces to stop the evil scheme of the Puppy Co CEO from taking off. Boss Baby loosely based on a 2010 picture book of the same name written and illustrated by Marla Frazee.
According to the studio's promotional summary, "Boss Baby is a fantastical family comedy about the bossiest member in every family - the new guy. From the day his baby brother arrived (in a cab...wearing a suit), seven-year-old Tim knew this fast-talking briefcase-carrying baby was trouble - after all, there's only so much love to go around, right? But as Tim embarks on a mission to win back the sole affection of his parents, he stumbles upon a secret plot by the CEO of Puppy Co that threatens to destroy the balance of love in the world - and this brash baby executive masquerading as his new brother is at the center of it all. Now, they must come together as true brothers to stop the dastardly scheme, save their parents, restore order to the world, and prove that love is indeed an infinite force."
Baldwin previously also voiced characters in 2012's Rise of the Guardians and 2008's Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa while Spacey voice acted as Hopper in 1998's A Bug's Life.
Ramsey Naito (of The SpongeBob Square Pants Movie) and Denise Cascino (of Mr. Peabody & Sherman) will produce Boss Baby which will be released by 20th Century Fox on March 18, 2016.
