'Scandal' Scott Foley’s Wife is on Team Fitz; Finds Happiness in Passion and Family
Apparently Scott Foley's Jake Ballard is not the apple of his wife's eye but rather prefers Tony Goldwyn's President Fitzgerald Grant. The Scandal actor shares that his wife Marika Dominzyk is an avid supporter of the fictional state leader. Us Weekly quotes the Felicity alum, "My wife has a Team Fitz phone cover. If she wants the bills paid, she'd better be Team Jake!"
Foley's character has been 'standing in the sun' with Kerry Washington's Olivia Pope since 2013 though the recent episode has revealed that he has been left blindsided when Pope was kidnapped from her apartment in a mid-dance party.
In Vulture's October 2013 issue, Foley in an interview about Ballard and Pope's complicated relationship, saying, "I think he and Olivia had something right off the bat, something that maybe Olivia and Fitz didn't necessarily have. There's a chemistry they had from the get-go that is hard for Olivia to deny. If she could deny it, she wouldn't be making out with Jake. Jake wouldn't even be in the picture."
But despite his wife's phone cover choice, the Scandal star finds happiness in his own family. In the February issue of Live Happy, Foley shares that what makes him the happiest is his passion, "That sounds so generic and broad, but I love to act, I love to tell stories and that is my passion." Included in the bunch is his family of five consisting of Dominzyk, their daughter Malina and sons Keller and Konrad. "I love my family - my family makes me happier than anything else. I'm passionate about spending time with them, watching them grow and making them laugh," he explains. "Those are the two passions in my life: family and work," People quotes the actor.
