Zac Efron in Search for a Wedding Date
Well probably not a real wedding date but the Bad Neighbors alum is set to star in the upcoming Fox comedy entitled Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. The project will be under the direction of Jake Szymanski and will be written by Andrew Cohen and Brendan O'Brien. The film will be produced by Peter Chernin, David Ready, Jenno Topping and Jonathan Levin. The plot will revolve on two brothers who posted an online ad for wedding dates. Apparently the innocent search went wrong as Efron's ad goes viral.
Currently, casting calls are still being held for someone to play the part of Efron's sibling, People quotes a report from Variety. However the team shares that "they're hoping this film produces results similar to Sandra Bullock-Melissa McCarthy team-up on "The Heat," Variety quotes the production team.
Recently, Efron's been working on a lot of comedies in his recent career track which included titles like That Awkward Moment in 2014 and Neighbors. According to Hollywood Reporter, he is also currently working on another comedy with Robert De Niro titled Dirty Grandpa.
In terms of his social life, People reports that he was recently spotted with Selena Gomez and her rumored boyfriend, Zedd, having a great dinner time at Atlanta's STK with the singer's backup dancers and friends. Efron was with his current girlfriend, stylist and model Sami Miró whom he had spent a great vacation with.
The actor has currently wrapped up his production on the Working Title film called We Are Your Friends. The actor is represented by CAA, Alchemy Entertainment and Felker Toczek Gellman Suddleson.
Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates is slated to hit theaters on July 29, 2016 so Efron fans still have a lot of time to 'enlist' for wedding date.
