Blake Shelton 'Saturday Night Live' Host & Musical Guest Jan. 24, Watch Trailer Promos Here (VIDEO)
Country star Blake Shelton will be the host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live on NBC on January 24th. This is a big compliment for The Voice coach as it is a rare honor to be both host and musical guest for the show.
NBC has released a promo with Shelton SNL cast member Cecily Strong, you can check it out above. The Voice YouTube page also released a video for their coach Blake, where he shares some of his fears about hosting (watch above).
Shelton is known for being a funny man with a quick whit, but we will see if that carries over to SNL. We are looking forward to watching him this Saturday night, Jan 24th.
Blake Shelton has charted 24 country singles in his music career, including 11 number ones. The 11th No. 1 ("Doin' What She Likes") broke the record for the most consecutive No. 1 singles in the Country Airplay chart's 24-year history. He is also a five-time Grammy Award nominee.
Already a big star, Shelton took his popularity to even greater heights with his role as a coach on the NBC televised singing competition The Voice. He and Adam Levine have been coaches since the shows inception. The Voice just wrapped up Season 7 in December 2014 with Team Blake winning his fourth time in seven seasons with Craig Wayne Boyd. The Voice Season 8 returns to NBC next month with Christina Aguilera, Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and Blake as the four coaches.
