'Resident Evil: Revelations 2' Release Date Feb 2015 Moved Back by One Week

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 release date for the first episode is now February 24 instead of the original schedule of February 17. According to game developer and publisher Capcom at its Resident Evil: Revelations 2 website, "In an effort to fine-tune the final product, we've moved the release of the first episode back just one week to February 24." Consequently, the release dates for subsequent installments, as well as the disc-based retail edition that packages them all together, has also moved back, that is, episode 2 will come out on March 3, episode 3 on March 10, and episode 4 on March 17. The episodes cost $6 each, or $25 for the full season, while the retail disc which comes with a series of extra bonus content is priced at $40.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is the tenth installment of Capcom's Resident Evil video game franchise which now comprise of the original Resident Evil released in 1996, Resident Evil 2 released in 1996, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis released in 1999, Resident Evil Code: Veronica released in 2000, Resident Evil Zero released in 2002, Resident Evil 4 released in 2005,Resident Evil 5 released in 2009, Resident Evil: Revelations released in 2011, Resident Evil 6 released in 2012, and Resident Evil: Revelations 2 to be released beginning next month.

According to Game Spot, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be set between the events of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 and the main protagonist will be special police officer Claire Redfield, with Barry Burton and his daughter Moira in supporting roles. On how the characters of the two female leads will be interacting in the upcoming game, producer Michiteru Okabe told IGN: "It isn't two against the world, it's one against the world with a helper. They serve different roles in the story, they have different functions. So while Claire maintains that aggressive attitude and attack, Moira is defined and very structured as a support character."
