‘The Elder Scrolls 6' Release Date 2015, News & Updates: Nothing Definite Yet

There is really nothing definite yet as to the 'The Elder Scrolls 6' release date. In fact, that there will even be an 'Elder Scrolls 6' game in the foreseeable future is just a rumor, a conjecture based on the observation from Nuzco that a casting studio has held auditions for voice actors to appear in an 'AAA video game title' and from T3 that "Bethesda Game Studios is looking for experienced programmers to work on cutting-edge technology for an unannounced game on future-generation consoles."

A speculation by Nuzco is that the next game would be 'Elder Scrolls 6: Argonia' focusing on the Argonian race and that it will be a sequel to The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. T3 on the other hand believes that the 'Elder Scrolls 6' game will likely be set in the continent of Tamriel, as was the case with all previous titles before it.

As far as Bethesda itself is concerned, there has been no official announcement about an 'Elder Scrolls 6' game that is upcoming. Thus far, still the latest word from game director Todd Howard on where The Elder Scrolls is headed is this: "And now The Elder Scrolls is ready to head in a new direction - online. The great folks at Zenimax Online have brought the same passion and dedication to that game that we brought to ours. And like the other titles, it will be its own thing. We hope you give them the same support and feedback you've given us for so long. Where does The Elder Scrolls go over the next 20 years? Time will tell. But I know it will continue to be an amazing partnership with you. And we can't wait to play it."

The Elder Scrolls Online which was released for the Windows and OS X platforms on April 4, 2014, is the 8th game in The Elder Scrolls series. Currently in development and scheduled for release in Spring this year are versions for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game consoles. The Elder Scrolls series is presently comprised of The Elder Scrolls: Arena released in 1994, The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall released in 1996, The Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire released in 1997, The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard released in 1998, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind released in 2002, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion released in 2006, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim released in 2011, and The Elder Scrolls Online released just last year.
