John Legend Music Video 'Glory' with Common Released From 2015 Golden Globe Winning Song, Watch Here (VIDEO)

Common and John Legend have released the music video for their song "Glory" that was is on the Selma movie soundtrack. You can check out the new music video above. 

The guys won the award for 'Best Original Song' on Sunday night (Jan 11) at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. They recorded the song "Glory" from the new civil-rights movie Selma. When accepting the award, Common gave an impassioned speech, which you can check out above. 

"The first day I stepped on the set of Selma, I began to feel like this was bigger than a movie. As I got to know the people of the Civil Rights movement," Common said in his acceptance speech. "I realize I am the hopeful black woman who was denied her right to vote. I am the caring white supporter killed on the front lines of freedom. I am the unarmed black kid who maybe needed a hand but instead was given a bullet. I am the two fallen police officers murdered in the line of duty."

Common and John won the category up against Lana Del Rey, Lorde, Patti Smith and Sia.

Selma was up for a total of four Golden Globes for 2015. 

The film Selma is a 2014 American historical drama film directed by Ava DuVernay and written by Paul Webb. It is based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches led by James Bevel, Hosea Williams, and Martin Luther King, Jr. of SCLC and John Lewis of SNCC. The film stars David Oyelowo as King, Tom Wilkinson as President Lyndon Johnson, Common as Bevel, and Carmen Ejogo as Coretta Scott King.

Selma premiered at the American Film Institute Festival on November 11, 2014, began a limited U.S. release on December 25, and expanded into wide theatrical release on January 9, 2015.

Pathé financed the film, with Plan B Entertainment, Cloud Eight Films and Harpo Productions co-producing the film. Paramount Pictures distributed Selma in the United States and Canada.
