Vin Diesel most likely to star in Marvel’s “Inhumans”, reveals what he liked about “Groot”
It would seem that Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy star, Vin Diesel, is slated, or rather rooting, for another Marvel movie. Recently, the actor posted in his Facebook account a photo of him standing in front of the words, "Are you inhuman?" Time quotes.
Though the full cast listing for the film adaptation of the comic book, Inhumans, has yet to be released, the release date though have been reported to be on November 2018. However, it is known that Marvel isn't the type to cast actors to play more than one role, reports Moviepilot. Though this seems to be contradicted by Chris Evans who previously played Johnny Storm in the first two Fantastic Four movies before taking on the role of Steve Rogers aka Captain America.
Diesel portrayed the talking, walking and fighting human-tree, Groot, in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy. But Groot is a computer generated character where Diesel gives the character to life by lending him his voice. Black Bolt, who is rumored to be the role Diesel wants to play, is a character that barely speaks because of a special but destructive ability his voice offers.
Speaking of Groot, the actor revealed in an interview on how he liked his character. Groot is known to only speak one line "I am Groot" however Diesel shares that he is intelligent in his own way. In recurring scenes all over the movie, audiences could see that even if Groot only says one line, his friend Rocket, voiced by Bradley Cooper, responds to him as if he could understand the meaning underneath the repetitive language, Inquisitr reports.
The actor was also recommended for an Oscar by The New York Times' Manohla Dargis for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Groot, according to International Business Times.
