Emma Watson shows the world that she had grown out of her Harry Potter shadow by taking on mature roles
Over the years, Emma Watson had surprised her fans and celebrity watchers everywhere as she eluded with grace the typical typecasting disease that haunts actors that rose in the ranks to become an A-Lister in her own right. From her iconic role as bookworm-turned-freedom fighter, Hermione Granger, in the Harry Potter series, the British actress took on wisely sought out roles such as The Perks of Being a Wallflower in 2012, The Bling Ring in 2013 and Noah in 2014. Aside from that, Watson also finished a degree in English Literature last May 2014 at Brown University, was a muse for several brands such as Burberry and Lancôme and is currently a UN Ambassador for Human Rights.
But if you think Emma Watson's going to slow down any time? Better think again. The actress recently worked on the thriller Regression and has two other movies slated for release in 2015, named Colonia Dignidad and La La Land.
Her role in Regression comes to a shock for several of her fans as she will be going beyond what she's done and will be stripping down for the role. According to New York Daily News, the star's gotten criticism for a particular scene where she had to go topless and one reviewer stated that the topless scene was "useless and ineffective" further adding that one "can see her breasts but they are partially obscured."
MStarz reports that "Regression tells the story set in a small town in 1990 Minnesota of a sexually abusive father who has been arrested for abusing his daughter, who is played by Watson". She will be starring in the movie alongside Ethan Hawke, Dale Dickey and Devon Bostick.
