Carrie Underwood confesses ‘meltdowns’ during pregnancy but manages to ring in the new year in a special performance
It's not easy being pregnant and American Idol alum, Carrie Underwood, feels that, as she revealed that she's been experiencing emotional meltdowns that came along with her pregnancy and the cause of most of these meltdowns are by her husband, NHL player, Mike Fisher.
One of the incidents that sparked her was about their new car. KDramaStars quoted a statement Underwood-Fisher shared from a news publication where the couple was in the process of getting a brand new car. "I've had the same car for five years and we've bonded. It's like a safety thing, we needed a safer car (for the baby). We went to the dealership and I looked at the used car area and started crying because I just envisioned my car being in there, somebody else was gonna be driving my car."
Her other meltdown was caused by her looking for clothes that would still fit her. "The day I realized I could no longer wear my clothes was not a fun day," said Underwood. "I was in my closet...we had to go someplace nice and I just started crying and my husband walks in and he's just like, 'I don't know what to do right now...'" quotes Fashion and Style.
The singer also said that she is trying to come into terms with her mood swings. "I haven't gotten rid of it yet, we're still trying to figure out what to do with it," KDramaStars reports.
But despite that, the singer still managed to give a special performance last January 1 on the Today Show. Underwood-Fisher wore a long sleeved cranberry dress which showed off her precious baby bump and curves while wearing stiletto, lace-up heels.
She also shared that she plans to have a traditional family and create new family traditions when her baby boy comes to the world. "We're going to have to make some family traditions," said Underwood. "My family never really stuck to the same things. We never really had the traditions that we always did," Fashion and Style quoted.
