'Vampire Diaries' Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) Gets Official Obituary Written By Show's Producer, Read Here
"Vampire Diaries" star Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) died on the show last season and the shows executive producer decided to give the fans an official obituary.
Executive producer Julie Plec teamed up with Entertainment Weekly to release the goodbye.
"After five hundred years of running, Katherine Pierce, the ultimate mean girl and quintessential survivor, died at the hands of her former love, Stefan Salvatore," Julie wrote. "She is survived by no one. There will be no funeral. In lieu of services, please say the most horrific thing she has done to you, and take a shot. Donations can be made in her honor to the organizations she cared about most-Prada, Gucci, and Dior. Out of respect for the dead, we will make no mention of Elena Gilbert in this fauxbituary."

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 returned to the CW this Fall along with the spin-off show "The Originals" Season 2 premieres the same week.
"The Originals" brought in Nina Dobrev for some episodes including appearing in flashbacks as original doppelgänger Tatia in Episode 5 (Nov 3).
"The Originals" creator Julie Plec explained Dobrev's appearance to E! Online sharing, "There was a character's name introduced a long time ago in season three in association with Klaus and Elijah and how they became vampires and a girl that they both loved a long time ago who was the original doppelganger, Tatia."
You can now add Dobrev to the list of "Vampire Diaries" castmembers to appear on the spinoff including: Michael Trevino, who appeared in two episodes. In January, The Originals stars Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies and Claire Holt also crossed over to Vampire Diaries for the 100th episode.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 and "The Originals" Season 2 are both airing on The CW.
