Celebrity style: Ashley Benson does some closet cleaning to make room for her holiday style must haves
Celebrity style: Out with the old, in with the new!
Actress Ashley Benson and her stylist friend Jamie Schneider tag teamed to do some early closet spring cleaning. Wardrobe pieces were sorted out as to what she could keep and she should give out to charity. What's more, Schneider helped the Pretty Little Liars star create a holiday wish list for herself.
"I was excited to make room for new pieces-and to get rid of a ton of the jeans, graphic T-shirts, and clothes I used to wear on the PLL set," Benson told US Weekly.
"We really defined what Ashley's style is and what it should be, and we got rid of anything that did not fall within those guidelines," Schneider explained.
"Beginning a closet cleanout with a clear vision of your style is key, so you don't have to agonize over what to toss and what to keep."
With these in mind the 24 year old actress and her stylist went through her closet and tossed out anything that hasn't been worn within the last year.
"One year gives you a full season to wear something. It's a good way to discover what you truly like and don't like in your closet," Schneider told Us.
At the end of the exercise, the two collected 25 bags of clothing which will be donated to Goodwill charity. The remaining pieces were placed on new hangers and were color-coordinated to keep the wardrobe streamlined and easy to navigate.
Benson now had more room for new pieces! She collaborated with Shop-Hers.com, to create a holiday wish list of style must haves.
These include: Pointed-toe Manolo Blahnik slipper flats ($185), a yellow Isabel Marant sweater ($175), and a Monique Lhuillier jumpsuit ($185), to name a few. The complete list is at shop-hers.com
