Following a slew of leaked photos of celebrities, Perroni's Twitter account was reportedly hacked, and the main photo on her account was changed to a photo of a nude woman, who resembled the Spanish star. However, according to Perroni, who took to Facebook to address the rumor, the photo was not actually her.
"Maite Perroni's account was hacked," Perroni's manager, Carolina Palomo, said, according to a Nov. 13 report by the Latin Post. "Those photos are manipulated, and the person who appears in the images is not Maite. Unfortunately, people can be ill intentioned and affect celebrities a lot."

Perroni was also recently targeted by an online death hoax, which took Twitter by storm. In October, the rumor surfaced, claiming Perroni had tragically died, and the topic "Maite Perroni Dies" was trending for a few hours.
"They just end up being words that are published and aren't true," she said of the false report.
Throughout the last few months, as nude photos of celebrities have continually hit the web, many stars have denied the photos were of them. Other have chosen to admit to being the woman or man in the photo and proceeded to take legal action.
After actress Jennifer Lawrence's nude photos were leaked, she released a statement to Vanity Fair. The statement read, "It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change."
