Will 'Teen Mom 2' Return For Season Six?
For the last few weeks, rumors have been swirling in regard to a possible sixth season of the MTV reality show. So far, the network has yet to confirm the news, but yesterday, Randy released a statement.
"Been reading reports/rumors of Season 6. So far, about 5% is what I read is true," Randy tweeted on Oct. 22, according to a Wetpaint Entertainment report.
Leah And Jeremy Calvert Are Headed For Divorce
In Jan. 2013, the New York Post reported producers were considering canceling the series after a slew of shocking events, most of which occurred in the life of Jenelle Evans. In addition to a quicky marriage to Courtland Rogers, which ended in divorce, Evans announced she was pregnant. Weeks later, she reportedly suffered a miscarriage, as rumors regarding her alleged drug use continued to swirl.
Then, after the airing of seasons 5 and 5B, Radar Online reported Teen Mom 2 had been renewed for a sixth season. “Producers are getting ready for season 6,” an insider said at the time. “They are calling the girls to make sure everyone is on board.”
Things appeared to be moving towards a sixth season last month, but then, Leah Calvert and her husband, Jeremy, reportedly caused a delay in filming. According to The Ashleys Reality Roundup, Leah and Jeremy's marriage is coming to an end, and the couple is refusing to sign onto the series.
Teen Mom 2 is currently airing on Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. on MTV.
